In the course of the study in question, Spanish scientists studied the physical characteristics of various types of sound, trying to identify those that are suitable for use in echolocation.

As a result, it turned out that the closest to the ideal was the click produced by a sharp movement of the tongue back (not down) after pressing it against the hard palate directly behind the teeth. It is with the help of such sounds that a person, being trained properly, will be able to determine the distance to the objects around him.

It should be noted that the clicks described are the closest to those specific sounds that dolphins emit. True, any of these animals easily produces up to 200 clicks per second, while a person, due to his capabilities, is able to click no more than three or four times in the same time.

A famous example is Brooke Megan Greenberg, who lived to be 20 years old and at the same time physically and mentally remained at the level of a two-year-old.
