In the London Museum of Natural History, a unique butterfly hatched from a pupa.
She is both male and female at the same time and has two different body halves with different wings. The curators of the museum were shocked to say the least.

The butterfly has a wingspan of 10 centimeters, its male side is black, and the female side is lighter and with a red speck. In addition, she has a different length of antennae, and on the abdomen, male and female organs are fused together.
A rare phenomenon owes its appearance to the fact that the chromosomes that provide the sex of the butterfly were not correctly distributed during fertilization. Gynandromorphs, that is, creatures whose different parts of the body have signs of different sexes, are found among butterflies only in 0.01% of cases.

The phenomenon of gynandromorphism, although extremely rare, extends not only to butterflies. Similar cases were also found among crabs, lobsters, spiders and even chickens. However, in species where representatives of both sexes look the same, this is much more difficult to notice.
By the way, the butterfly turned out to be sterile, it will not have offspring. She will live for about a month, after which she will take her place in the museum's collection.

Why Is The Butterfly Effect Dangerous?

Everyone knows from the school mathematics course that parallel lines never intersect. This is stated in the traditional or official geometry of Euclid. However, probably, every person, looking at the rails going beyond the horizon, in the depths of his soul began to doubt this axiom. Indeed, in the geometry of Lobachevsky it is said that parallel lines can intersect - at infinity. Thus, it is logical that parallel planes can also have points of contact. Despite

Wings Confirm: Birds Descended From Dinosaurs

Japanese biologists have found another proof of the origin of birds from dinosaurs. The bone structure of a chicken embryo and an ancient flying dinosaur is almost identical. Among paleontologists, there is a small group of scientists who believe that birds did not descend from dinosaurs. Their fingers, as they say, don't match
Jesus-Buddha And Mother Of God With Wings Are Found On Ancient Frescoes In A Serbian Church

The small church, which was built in honor of the apostles Peter and Paul in the Serbian village of Rsovci, is unique for its unusual fresco, which depicts the Savior with absolutely no hair. This fresco was apparently not painted by a local church artist on the north wall of the temple in the second half of the 13th century. It is also interesting that Jesus is depicted on the plaster dressed in Buddhist clothes, and his image is framed by a mandorla
