There are many theories around the coronavirus about its origin. Could people get it from bats or was it created in laboratories. Or maybe he arrived on Earth on a meteorite?
In just a few weeks, the number of deaths from the insidious coronavirus has already exceeded 1,380 people, and among the infected there are almost 65 thousand. No one knows when the epidemic will end and how many more people will become infected and die.
Conspiracy theories around the coronavirus COVID-19 (previously it was called 2019-nCoV) are growing by leaps and bounds, a new one appears every day, and even officially recognized scientists have not yet figured out where it came from.
One of the most plausible versions suggests that the infection came from local bats living in caves. In the seafood market in Wuhan, many of these bats were sold, whose meat is valued here as a delicacy, and these animals have long been known as carriers of pathogens dangerous to humans.
Among other versions, which should rather be attributed to conspiracy theories, the artificial origin of the coronavirus is popular: either it was created by American scientists as a biological weapon, or by Chinese researchers from the Wuhan Virus Laboratory.
The other day a British astronomer of Indian descent Chandra Wickramasinge from Buckingham Astobiological Center put forward a new theory that the coronavirus could enter China on a meteorite from space.
The fact is that two months before the first cases in Wuhan appeared - on October 11, 2019, a large fireball flew over the city of Songjian in the Chinese province of Jilin - an obvious meteorite.
And although it is far from Songjian to Wuhan (2200 km), the trajectory of this ball was such that, before being seen in Jilin, it flew just over the Hubei province. And if this meteorite carried a dangerous pathogen, then when the meteorite collapsed in the atmosphere, this pathogen fell down on Chinese lands.

By the time the flaming meteorite flew to Jilin, where it was finally noticed, it could already "dump" all its "load" of viruses. Therefore, the epidemic probably began not in Jilin, but in Hubei.
The astronomer published this theory in the scientific journal "The Lancet". Wickramasinge detailed how "hundreds of trillions of infectious viral particles" could enter the air of Chinese regions along with "fine carbonaceous dust" from a crumbling celestial body.
At the same time, Wickramasinge is not some novice and not even a lover of ufology, but a well-known astronomer, mathematician and astrobiologist in Great Britain, and also a staunch adherent of the idea of panspermia - the theory that life on planet Earth was brought from space on asteroids and meteorites.
"After the initial deposition of infectious particles in a small localized area (for example, over Wuhan, Hubei province), the particles begin to gradually fall from the troposphere to the ground in a random manner. And this process can actually take up to 1-2 years before the entire infectious agent. This theory also fits well with the emergence of new strains of influenza viruses, including those that have emerged in recent years, "Wickramasinge writes.
That is, if we accept this theory as true, people in Wuhan and Hubei province will become infected and sick for many months.
It is possible that Wickramasinge simply brings the topic of coronavirus under his favorite theory of panspermia, but in the history of mankind in many countries there was a belief that if a "comet" flies through the sky, there will soon be a big epidemic.
Based on these beliefs, many researchers seriously believe that viruses and other dangerous microorganisms can be transported on meteorites or asteroids from planet to planet. As proof of this version, the fact is sometimes presented that viruses in general are very mysterious objects, as if they were really something alien, and were not created on Earth.

70 Years Ago, Strange Green Balls Flew Over The United States, Which Were Called The Secret Weapon Of The USSR
In 1948, shortly after the flying saucers craze began in the United States, reports of a new type of mysterious aerial phenomenon began to emerge: the so-called green fireballs. Among the most notable sightings was an incident over New Mexico in late 1948, reported by the crews of both military and civilian aircraft flying on the night of December 5. Both groups of observers compared the object with & a
A Huge Triangular UFO Flew Over New York (+ Video)
A resident of the Bronx (New York) on January 16, 2021 saw three UFOs above the houses in his area, moving synchronously in the form of a huge triangle. The brightly shining dots were very clearly visible in the night sky. The man managed to capture a triangle slowly floating in the sky on video (see below) and posted it on his YouTube channel. Since he was a very humble blogger who had only a few subscribers, his video went unnoticed for several days by UFO lovers, until finally he was
Earth's Oldest Meteorite Crater Found In Greenland
Russian and European geologists have discovered on the territory of Greenland in the vicinity of the city of Maniitsok the oldest crater on Earth with a diameter of 100 kilometers, which arose three billion years ago as a result of the fall of a 30 kilometer asteroid, according to an article published in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters. '' This unique discovery means that we can now study the effects of the meteorite bombardment of the Earth in the form of a crater that formed a billion years earlier than we thought
In Ancient Times, The Earth Had Many Moons, But They Either Fell Down Or Flew Into Space
The moon was not the only satellite of the Earth - a group of European and Israeli astronomers came to this conclusion. Numerous small satellites arose during the formation of our planet, but turned out to be very short-lived, Mir24 reports with reference to the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. According to the generally accepted theory, the Moon arose after the collision of the Earth with an unknown protoplanet, code-named Thea. Version: Man And Monkey Have No Ancestors On Earth
For political news, crime chronicles and climatic changes, we somehow do not pay attention to the amazing scientific sensations. But in vain! Last Wednesday, March 21, at the Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Group on Population Research, chaired by Doctor of Biological Sciences Ariadna Filippovna Nazarova, sensations were discussed for four hours.
