Sanom made a living by rickshaws and was a believing Buddhist. Two years ago, he had a kind of bad feeling and started visiting various Buddhist temples and collecting protective amulets in them. Collecting them from a couple of hundred, he built himself a "Buddhist armor", which was supposed to increase his luck.

Many also asked him about whether such armor really brings him a lot of luck, but Sanom discouraged them from doing this and said that the most important thing is to earnestly believe in Buddha, otherwise the amulets will not work.

Sanom died at work last month and for some unknown reason, he did not wear the amulets armor on that day. He was driving his wheelchair past a row of shops on the side of the road when a large car crashed into him.
