“In 2000, my mother went to see a psychic woman named Beverly and when she came back from her, she was very horny. According to her, this woman said things to her so precise that it scared her a lot.
I was 18 at the time and I was about to go to college and I was very skeptical about it. I joked with my mother, saying that if that woman really had superpowers, she would be 100 thousand times richer.
Six months have passed. By that time, I was already lagging behind in school, as I was having fun with friends and wasting my life like many teenagers. Once I was visiting my mother and stepfather's house and my mother again talked about various unusual things that Beverly told him about. And this time my patience ran out, I sharply told my mother that she should stop talking about nonsense.
But my mother unexpectedly said that I should attend her session myself. And to my answer that I would not listen to this Beverly's chatter, she repeated again that I had to go there and she was even ready to pay for me herself. And she persuaded me several more times and I finally agreed, as I became curious.
Mom called Beverly and they signed me up for Saturday. And so I came home to this woman (and before that I told my best friend that I would go to a psychic and he laughed at me) and outwardly it was the most ordinary house in which it smelled of cigarettes. Beverly invited me to sit in a chair, and then sat down opposite, lit a cigarette and just looked at me in silence for a while.
Then she began to tell different details, cases, characteristics about me and my family, and at first all this was quite general things that she could learn about from neighbors. Then she said that she saw my grandfather "here" and I reacted with a contemptuous laugh, but then she called his name, his name was Robert.
I didn't understand why she started talking about him, because I was never close to him. My grandfather had 30 grandchildren and my father was his tenth child. And my grandfather was an alcoholic and Beverly said that my grandfather wants me to be more careful with alcohol.
“Your grandfather tells me that if you don’t follow this, there will come a time when the choice will be made for you,” Beverly said.
Then she began to say something about the old days and I sat and was glad that it was not my $ 100 per session. Then my time ran out and I got up to thank her and leave, but she suddenly grabbed my hand and said, "Wait! Sit down a minute! You have a red-haired friend who is a thief."
And I immediately understood who she was talking about. One of my friends named Chris was on drugs, and then he was kicked out of the bar because he stole a girl's wallet.
"Don't get in a jeep with him. No. It's too bad. It's terrible. Never get in a jeep with him, because people will die. You shouldn't be there and you probably won't, because this is not your way. But I I have to warn you anyway, "Beverly said.
And these last words of hers really hurt me. She really guessed everything about Chris, that he is a redhead and a thief, and six months ago he just bought himself a yellow Jeep Vragler.
I said goodbye to Beverly and left, and on the way home I stopped by my friends. I told them about it and we decided that if this is a true prediction, then Chris will probably soon get into a fatal accident in his jeep.
And when I later learned from a friend that his mother several years ago Beverly predicted a quadruple (!) And that it came true, I remembered her words about the jeep even more.
Another six months passed and nothing dangerous happened to Chris during this time. One day we were all supposed to get together in a company at our friend's house, but that morning I woke up with a severe sore throat, apparently caught an infection somewhere. A friend called me and urged me to spit on it and go with them, but I refused. Then he went to them without me, and I drank the medicine and went to bed again.
The next morning I woke up from the fact that my mother came to my apartment and she was all in tears. And suddenly I realized what had happened and that my friend was dead.
There was an accident and my friend and three other female students died in it. They were driving a Grand Cherokee jeep that belonged to another friend of mine, Rob, and Rob was driving, and red-haired Chris was sitting next to him. In fact, Rob and Chris were the only ones who survived, and everyone who was behind the backseat was killed.
I was devastated and could not even add 2 and 2, that is, I did not connect Beverly's prediction with this tragedy, because I thought it was about Chris's car. "You shouldn't be there and apparently you won't," all this is because of my throat, which this morning did not hurt. But then it dawned on me and shook me to the depths of my soul.
The next day I ran to Beverly and told her everything, and then I decided to quit drinking. Now Beverly is no longer there, she died, but now I know for sure that at least there was one person who really had an unusual gift."

Prediction: The Era Of Cyborgs Will Begin After 2030
Recently gaining popularity, robotic artificial limbs (prostheses with a neurointerface) will become the beginning of the `` era of cyborgs '' - the union of man and machines, which is gradually turning into symbiosis. In a few decades, such limbs will become commonplace, and the capabilities of neural interfaces will grow many times over. Analysts emphasize that a person will not only be able to embed machines in himself, but also to be embedded in machines. Augmented reality systems can provide pain delivery

10 Predictions That Came True By John Watkins
Retrofuturism is an entertaining thing that, unlike futurology, can always be checked and evaluated after the fact. An unknown civil engineer from the United States named John Watkins wrote an entertaining article in a women's magazine in 1900, where he described in a rather entertaining way what would happen over the next century. The American's predictions turned out to be surprisingly prophetic. He was able to accurately describe digital color photographs, mobile phones, TV, drones
8 Incredible Predictions About The Future That Never Came True
Our visions of the future have always been more complex than the hoverboards or self-lacing sneakers from the Robert Zemeckis films. Of course, various bad (and sometimes good) sci-fi films have featured different images: food pills, flying cars, personal jetpacks, and robotic butlers. But futurologists also predicted the appearance of whole wonderful new worlds that are now completely forgotten - for example, a world in which the letters C, X and Q disappeared from the English alphabet
A Deceased Colleague Came To His Office, And Then Came To Me In A Dream
In the 1990s, I worked as deputy head of the investigation department in Ufa. In the same department, Aslyam Akmalov worked as an investigator. In conversations with colleagues, he sometimes complained of heart disease. We offered him a job change, but he invariably refused. [advert] Once, after completing my work, I was going home, on the way I went to Aslam's office. He asked about health, family. He replied that everything was fine. Having said goodbye to him, I left the building of the investigation department. Akmalov's office window was located
