IN Chita many old houses. As a rule, their history is quite harmless: these are either merchant houses, whose inhabitants lived quietly, peacefully with their children and households right up to the revolution, and then fled from the Soviet regime to Manchuria or Harbin, or profitable houses, where guests changed quite often. But no, no, yes you will hear from someone that there were also the houses are "restless".
We will tell about them.
The famous Chita professor Boris Kuznik, in his book "Juna, Vanga and others", said that the "drums", ghosts and poltergeists are nothing more than the result of a break in the earth's crust. In the emerging geopathogenic zones, “non-biological entities” appear, which, by their activity, baffle many people.
There are many such places in the city. For example, once in 1987, a resident of a house on Lermontov Street turned to Boris Ilyich as a specialist in the field of paranormal phenomena. A real poltergeist acted in her apartment - metal pans bursting before her eyes, dishes cracked … And that's not all.
I must say that Lermontov Street at all times was not distinguished by special tranquility. A resident of the Sosnovy Bor microdistrict told a "fascinating" story about how, back in Soviet times, she got a job as a night watchman at a school behind the main post office.
From the very beginning it was strange for her to hear that no one lingers in this position for a long time, because the work is "dust-free", and the pay is tolerable. Even the director himself at first could not really explain the reason for the strange staff turnover.
And then the night shifts began. And, it seems, everything is fine, but only at exactly 22 o'clock on the second floor an incomprehensible fuss and disturbing noise began, as if someone was dragging something bulky and heavy and still could not pull it out, and then a series of dull claps followed. This noise was repeated with a neat frequency, and the newly minted night watchman decided to find out what was happening upstairs. Getting up, she checked all the offices and found them closed.
I opened it - everything is intact inside. Surprised for some more time, she turned to the director for an explanation. The authorities reluctantly admitted that an incomprehensible roar at night is, as they say, an everyday thing and even for him familiar. But only the night workers do not stay here, because the dull claps are nothing more than the sounds of shots, since in the 30s there was a torture chamber of the NKVD, and the rumble is the sound of a truck driving away, in which corpses were taken to the cemetery.
After such a frightening truth, the woman decided that she had enough "impressions" and quit.
At the cemetery - with a sewing machine
For some reason, the people believe that the very first city cemetery is the notorious Starochitinskoye. It seems to have always figured on the plans, and a lot was heard about it. However, the very first was the cemetery, located on Barguzinskaya Street.
Starochitinskoe cemetery
Where was it located there, you ask? I answer: in the place where the preschool educational institution number 71 is now, just above the mosque. It did not last long - from 1851 to 1855. And all because Chita began to grow rapidly in its eastern part.
If so, then according to sanitary standards, the cemetery must be taken out of the city, which is what the authorities did by defining a plot for it on Petrovsko-Zavodskaya Street. Then it was called the 1st and 2nd Cemetery (later Depovskaya). To be honest, I would not like to be in the place of those who, by the will of fate, lived there. The nights were probably quiet and thought-provoking …
But back to the cemetery on Barguzinskaya Street. It belonged to a nearby hospital. When the cemetery was closed, then, according to the existing rules, nothing could be built on this place for a quarter of a century. After the expiration of the term, the vacant lot began to be built up by the private sector, and later, municipal construction came in time.
And everything was calm until a certain time, until one day a woman turned to the nearest police station, asking to put things in order in her apartment. When asked what was the matter, she confusedly explained that she had a "baraashka" who was rowdy and haunted her.
The police, of course, did not accept the application and advised me to contact the appropriate doctor. They say they will help you more there. But the woman showed persistence, and then, apparently out of pity or out of curiosity, the operas got down to business. And, it turned out, not in vain. The poltergeist really did take place. And all because of the very cemetery, in the place of which houses now stood.
As for the Starochitinsky cemetery, or, as it was also called, "Chita-third", many remember it not only as a vale of sadness, but also as a place distinguished by its extraordinary atmosphere. Beautiful family crypts, stone gravestones, carved crosses of respected people of the city - all this seemed to be solemnly frozen in time and did not frighten, but, on the contrary, turned into a place of tender memory of those who had gone to another world.
The late Maria Ivanovna Alferina, the former curator of the funds of the Trans-Baikal Regional Museum of Local Lore. A. K. Kuznetsova, told how, as a girl, she went with her mother to the cemetery and there one day she saw a woman who was sitting in the grave fence and scribbling on a sewing machine.
Seeing the surprise, the "seamstress" explained that she had all her relatives buried here and she came to see them, and at the same time sew for her pleasure. She said and, stopping work, put the typewriter into a depression in the ground, carefully covering it with a piece of cardboard. And nearby was the grave of that very woman-seamstress …
Another story was told to the author by a sensible city woman - one of those who says: "Until I see it myself, I will not believe it." When she was 16 years old, she was “friends” with her future husband, who was serving in the army at that time. One day, returning from leave, they decided to take a shortcut through the Old Cemetery.
It was night. Here, of course, the oddities begin, but the young man, deciding to step back for a minute, told the bride to go down into the dug hole. She obeyed and began to wait: they say, it was worse on the surface - the cemetery after all. After a 10-minute wait, the girl looked out of the hole and immediately hid back in fear.
As she later said, an incomprehensible "fermentation" took place upstairs: the glowing lights moved from place to place, it seemed that a lot of people were walking. In general, life was in full swing upstairs, if that could be said about the cemetery.
The "oddities" of the Starochitinsky cemetery did not end there. Old-timers say that there were two crypts - one of the nephew of the Chita doctor Severinov, the other, spacious, of the wife of some officer. It was said that this officer went mad, longing for his deceased wife, brought a piano to the crypt and played for her at night. Here it is, the cemetery - a vale of tranquility!

Black Dwarfs And Other Anomalies In The Abakan Apartment
The editorial office of the Khakassia Information Agency has received a letter from a resident of Abakan, which makes it uncomfortable. In it, she described in detail, in several paragraphs, everything that causes fear in her and her husband's apartment. Moreover, only the author of the letter and her husband are witnesses of the strange events. Their family and friends have never noticed anything like this. The reaction of skeptics is predictable: it all seemed to them, they were clocked, there is a complete absence of mysticism, etc. Well, try to find an explanation about

In 2001, a Japanese tourist appeared on the threshold of the Reed Flute Cave, not far from the city of Guilin. The Japanese sparkled with happiness: he overcame all the tangled corridors - and only once took a nap in one of the caves. Not a trace of joy remained when it turned out that he had spent no less than three years in the dungeon - the Japanese entered the cave in
