Where do dreams come from, can they be interpreted and events predicted from them? Why do we have nightmares? It turns out that all these phenomena can be explained.
DURING night sleep, the brain continues to work. The results of this work are our dreams. As a rule, a person sees dreams when he is in a fast phase of sleep, that is, in the second half of the night, closer to morning, - says the professor of the course of somnology at the N. N. I. M. Sechenova, Doctor of Medicine Gennady KOVROV.
- In 80% of cases, people remember a dream, waking up just after this period. If a person sees a dream in the phase of slow sleep, then he remembers it only in 10-20% of cases, but more often it is not a holistic dream, but fleeting, unrelated scraps.
The brain works for everyone, respectively, all people see dreams. It's just that not everyone remembers them. And even if you remember the dream, as a rule, you can tell it only immediately after waking up. Later, it completely disappears or you remember only fragments of dreams.
The morning is wiser than the evening?
There are not so many studies that deal with the analysis of the causes and the plot of dreams, where they come from. Why those and not other dreams appear, how they are connected with what was, scientists cannot say until now. But there are assumptions.
During a night's sleep, information is ordered, deposited into long-term or short-term memory. In addition, not having time to digest information in a day, the brain, while you are resting, tries to solve some psychological problems. No wonder they say: the morning is wiser than the evening.
For example, you are worried that you have been deceived, and after sleeping, it does not seem so important. In the morning, many problems are removed, because during the night the brain managed to "think over" them.
In a dream, the information of the past day is processed, which we receive not only consciously, but also unconsciously, without even noticing it. It so happens that a person sees a dream and at the same time knows that he is sleeping (this is called lucid dreaming). Do not rush to rejoice at this ability.
If you are sleeping at the same time and at the same time seem to know about it, then the dream is unnatural, inadequate, you are gnawing at anxiety, you are trying to control the situation even in a dream.
Is it a sign from above or a coincidence?
Sometimes dreams portend a tragedy, often the death of relatives, loved ones who are sick, feel bad. But, as a rule, thinking about someone's illness, a person involuntarily scrolls in his head a variety of options - from complete recovery to a tragic outcome. It’s not surprising that in a dream, the brain produces the same thing. And if a dream comes true, perhaps it is nothing more than an accident.
Most fortunate are those who shoot calm, interesting dreams. They say that everything is fine with you - try to maintain this state in yourself.
Dreams should alert you if:
• the number of dreams is increasing;
• negative emotions appear after sleep, self-esteem decreases;
• after sleep, palpitations appear, feeling short of breath;
• you have stereotyped dreams (the same dream is repeated);
• the relationship of the plot of dreams with stressful situations is traced (when you experience them again in a dream);
• the dream does not end with anything;
• the dream ends unfavorably.

The Psychologist Explains The Meaning Of The Ten Most Popular Dream Plots
This happens to everyone. You've had a wonderful day, and all of a sudden you had a nightmare. You adore your soul mate, and you treacherously dream of sex with another / other. Or you, seemingly not even believing in "all this nonsense", secretly rejoice or are terribly alarmed when you see a dream that "traditionally" portends happiness or misfortune. In fact, as scientists say, dreams rarely mean exactly what they dreamed, and even less often they are prophetic. The famous Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung for
