In Oregon, something attacked a cow, cutting out her genitals, udder, flesh from her muzzle and tongue. Since September 12, the carcass of the cow continues to lie in the place where it was found, and coyotes and birds that feed on carrion are afraid to approach it

Saturday 12 September 2020 Phi Stubblefield, the owner of Dixie Ranch Road, near Ukiah, Oregon (USA), was conducting a routine inspection of his cows when he saw something incomprehensible on the ground among the trees in a small grove.

When he began to approach, he saw the dead carcass of one of his cows, which was lying on its side. Initially, Stubblefield thought that someone had shot the cow or that it had been bitten by coyotes, but when he came very close, he saw terrible wounds on the corpse's face, which were clearly not inflicted by the fangs of a predator.

Around the jaws of the cow, all the skin and flesh was cut off, the tongue was very neatly cut off, and upon closer examination it turned out that the udder was also cut out of the cow and the genitals were removed.

On the cow's neck, an evenly cut piece of her ear was found.

Further examination of the body revealed that none of the injuries inflicted on the cow was bleeding and there was no blood around the carcass. It was as if an animal had been mutilated elsewhere, and then dragged here. However, Stubblefield did not find any tracks next to the body of the cow, including there were no tracks from the car.

Not understanding what was going on and still assuming that maybe the cow was just attacked by coyotes or wolves, Stubblefield called the police and a detective soon arrived here to investigate the case. He confirmed that this was not the work of animals and that this was clearly the deliberate mutilation of a cow.

Stubblefield told the officers that this is the third such attack on cows with the infliction of similar mutilations on the territory of his ranch in the past six months. One of the other two cows also belonged to Stubblefield, and the other was a neighbor's cow, but her corpse was found in the same Stubblefield field.

As of September 25, the body of the slain cow is in the same place where Stubblefield found her. And so it was easy for him to notice a new oddity - all scavengers avoided this carcass, from coyotes to birds. He noticed that from time to time coyotes tried to approach the carcass of a crippled cow, but then ran away from it. The birds briefly landed next to the carcass, but then flew away.

Stubblefield had previously heard about similar attacks on cows from other Oregon cattle breeders and considered it an exaggeration, but now he himself has faced these mysterious incidents.

Strange attacks on cows or horses in the United States began in the 1960s and peaked in the 1970s. Then hundreds of reports of such incidents appeared a year. These days, the number of such cases is much less frequent, but they appear with frightening regularity, and not only in the United States, but also in Europe, Asia and other regions.

Most often, these attacks are attributed to aliens, allegedly they need samples of animal bodies for experiments.
