Leap Into Another Reality

A story about how an office worker probably went through a different dimension. The narrator's name was not disclosed.

“It was the end of the work shift and I decided to go to my roommate who worked in the same building as me, only on the lower floor. with our mutual friend.

"What an asshole, you decided not to wait for me," I thought, and followed them to the exit. We left the building one after another. They both walked along the path in front of me at a distance of about ten meters. I followed them, and when they turned the corner, I did the same a few seconds later, expecting to see them heading towards the parking lot.

But suddenly they were not on the track!

Surprised by where they could go, I continued to walk down the path. At the same time, I realized that in a few seconds, until I saw them, they would never have been able to approach their cars, get into them and leave. After the turn, it was necessary to walk another hundred meters to the cars, and then cross the road and finally walk another 20 meters in order to go around the fence.

When I approached my car, I decided to wait (suddenly they went away for a minute on business). I stood there for about two or three minutes and suddenly my phone rang. I answered the call. It was my roommate. He called from an office building and he was very surprised, because "he was waiting for me at all and does not know where I hang out."

Being even more surprised, I told him that I had recently seen him and our acquaintance leave the building for a couple. At the same time in my head I was scrolling the option that all this was some kind of common joke and now they both would jump out behind my back and start laughing as they deftly caught me.

But this did not happen. Instead, after a while, my friend and our acquaintance for a couple came up to me from the side of the building and asked what I was smoking. They continued to assure me that they had not left the building, but were waiting for me downstairs in the main hall (in front of the main entrance).

I tried to analyze what happened after all. My friend was dressed in a gray shirt, and on his head he had a black hat, it was his usual clothes and there was nothing rare about it, but as far as I know, no one else dressed like that in our building. Not to mention the fact to have the same figure as my friend. So the one who left the building, as if he was my friend, I could not confuse him with anyone.

I asked again where they were when they were waiting for me. My friend said that he stood in the main hall and waited for me and our acquaintance while he went to wash his hands in the toilet room.

At the same time, when I went downstairs, I did not see anyone in the main hall, I only saw how these two or someone similar to them came out through the door. None of us have a phone addiction and we could not help but notice each other due to the fact that we are buried in our smartphones.

It happened six months ago, and I am still thinking about what it was. Between the three of us, we think this is a kind of joke of fate. I think I somehow made a leap across space or dimension."
