There are countless stories from people claiming that they encountered a wide variety of bizarre things in the forest, from creepy monsters to portals to another reality.
Some of these stories, even if they are told on the Internet, come from people whose profession is to search for people missing in the forests, therefore, they look with a claim to believability.
Several stories have appeared on Reddit in the past few years from a user with the nickname "searchandrescuewoods", who works as a rescuer and search engine for missing people and has regularly encountered unusual things during his work.
One of his stories tells of a large hairy creature that dragged away a child and this baby was never found.
The story began with the fact that a group of search engines was called upon a call from parents who lost two small children (the exact age was not specified), a boy and a girl. Their house was not far from a dense forest, and one day parents and children went into the forest to pick berries.
They did not go far and all the time (at least they convinced the search engines of this) looked after the children, but at some point it turned out that both children disappeared at once.
"The boy and his sister disappeared at the same time, when the parents turned their backs for literally a few seconds, and then they could not find them anywhere, so they called us. We began to comb the area and quickly found the girl.
When we asked her where her brother was, she said that the "bear man" had taken him. She also said that the same creature gave her a lot of berries and asked her to be silent, because he wants to play a little with her brother.
When she last saw her brother, he was moving away from her deeper into the forest, sitting on the shoulders of the "bear-man", the boy seemed calm and not in the least frightened.
Our first thought after these words of her was that the child was kidnapped by a large man. However, when we began to inspect the area, we did not find any traces of a person in the forest. At the same time, the little girl insisted that this was not an ordinary person, but was very tall and covered with hair, and he also had a "strange face".
We searched the area for several weeks, it was one of our longest searches, but we never found a single trace of this child."
