Abnormal zones and terrible tales of the Urals

They started talking about the Serov tract as a "road of death" at the end of last year after a terrible accident involving the car of the ex-governor of the Sverdlovsk region Alexander Misharin, who collided "head-on" with the "Volga" of Kachkanar resident Yuri Druzhinin

After this accident, not a month passes so that another terrible accident with the dead does not happen on the highway. So the residents of Sverdlovsk even began to say that the Serov tract was cursed.

The versions about who exactly cursed him, however, are quite different. From mysterious sectarians who performed bloody rituals near the highway (just recently, not far from Nizhniy Tagil, human bones were found in a prolesk near the Serov tract) to the curse of Yuri Druzhinin, a Kachkanarian who died in the “governor's” accident.

It got to the point that last month they decided to consecrate the deadly road - Orthodox priests, led by the rector of the parish in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov, at the request of the State Traffic Inspectorate, served a prayer service for all those traveling along the Serov tract, after which they consecrated the route. However, it seems that this did not save the "road of death" from the curse. At least in the last month alone, there have been two serious accidents on it.

The anomalous zone between Yekaterinburg and Berezovsky, which is called either "Berezovsky" or "Sverdlovsk triangle", has been known to lovers of mysticism for a long time. It is located in the area from KOR to Novosverdlovskaya CHPP and along the ring road, and its name, as you might guess, comes from the famous mysterious "Bermuda Triangle".

There are no residential buildings in the Ural anomalous zone, mainly summer cottages, and, nevertheless, Sverdlovsk residents constantly tell stories, each more mysterious about this place. They say that in this area have repeatedly seen "flying saucers" and strange "wandering" lights, motorists talk about eerie translucent but luminous silhouettes that hover over the road at night. Vacationers on the Shartash bank also talk about the fact that in the forest area inside the "Sverdlovsk triangle" sometimes they come across paths that confuse pedestrians, which always lead to the same place. However, there is no explanation for these phenomena.

There is only one little-known legend about the wasteland at the intersection of Belinsky and Furmanov streets, which for some reason will not be built up in any way, despite the obvious lack of space in the city center. The roots of its history go back to Sverdlovsk during the Soviet period, when the city had not yet grown so much. Rumor has it that there was a dump of chemical waste at this place, and when the city began to be actively built up, the authorities simply buried everything in the ground - right next to Iset. According to legend, the contents of the "burial ground" somehow seeped into the river with groundwater, and caused a mutation in some worm, which grew to gigantic proportions, and now lives underground next to Iset, and sometimes crawls out and feasts on ducks.

In different districts of Yekaterinburg, by the way, "horror stories" have their own flavor. For example, residents of Uralmash talk about the ghosts of factory workers who are new residents of their former apartments and are trying to drive them out. Here is one such story.“I rented my first separate apartment in an old“Khrushchev”building on Uralmash, as the hostess explained to me, she got it from my grandfather - and that from the plant. Well, when he died, she began to rent out housing, - says a resident of the city Irina Oleshina.

- From the very first days there were some oddities in the apartment. For example, I am sitting at the table, and it seems to me that someone is standing behind me and is looking straight at me, I turn around - there is no one. Well, the floors creaked sometimes, but I didn't pay much attention to that. I thought it was. And then I began to dream terribly realistic dreams - some scary man in a robe appeared and scolded me, they say, what am I doing here, he lives here, shouting to get out of here. In general, I held out in this apartment for a month, then I could not stand it and decided to move out. When the hostess told about this, she gave me the phrase: "Well, everything is clear, grandfather is cursing again."

Inhabitants of houses located in the area of the Siberian tract and a psychiatric hospital have mystical stories, mainly about the "drummers" who "stomp" at night, knock on cabinet doors and bother the owners with all kinds of noise. By the way, the residents of the area themselves explain the unusual phenomena by the neighborhood with the former cemetery. According to them, before the residential buildings built here in the 50-60s of the last century, there was some old cemetery on this territory, so disturbed spirits sometimes disturb their forced neighbors. “As a child, I often visited my grandmother, and she lived in that area. So we knew then that the houses were built in some kind of cemetery.

Even in the courtyards, they sometimes found different bones, but the upbringing was such that, in general, we didn't give a damn about it, - says a resident of Yekaterinburg, Alexander Eremeev. - Although I remember that at night I often woke up from some rustles, knocks. One night - I remembered this moment well - I heard sounds from the kitchen, as if someone was pouring tea and, moreover, knocking hard on the mug with a spoon. At first I thought that my grandmother decided to have tea, went to see - and there was no one there. And at this moment from the shelf pans with pots to the floor fall with an eerie roar. Of course, I was terribly frightened, and after that I visited my grandmother less often."
