The small country of Luxembourg, sandwiched between Belgium, France and Germany, is probably the last place in Europe where one can assume the appearance of tornadoes that can remove roofs from houses.
However, this is exactly what happened in the south-west of the country last Friday evening, and soon all local accounts on social networks began to upload photos and videos of the raging disaster, as if taken from American disaster films.
Tugged trees, objects flying through the air, overturned cars, roofs torn off houses - it seems surprising that only six people were officially injured.
However, there is nothing surprising in this, there are only about 600 thousand people in Luxembourg.
The wind speed reached 80 miles per hour, about a hundred houses were damaged, the streets were littered with fallen trees.
In one of the photos, you can see the mysterious power of a tornado in all its glory. He completely tore off the roof from both sides of the house, but did not touch the books and folders with documents in the closet.
Now city services and more than 200 volunteers are engaged in cleaning debris and other consequences of the disaster.
